Tina Cantu is the Co-Founder of the Foundation/Charities Division and a consultant to Blouin and Company, assisting athletes, celebrities and families in setting up non-profit foundations. She is a nurse and MBA/attorney. She practiced in the area of contract law, labor law and currently provides legal support in the area of business law and non-profit law. She lectures and functions as a consultant in the area of sports medicine law. She currently serves on numerous non-profit boards including Kevin Youkilis’ Youk’s Kids as a co-chair/President Board of Directors, Kevin Faulk Foundation as Clerk and board member, Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism as a Board co-chair and Clerk, Safe and Sound: A Sandy Hook Initiative as Clerk and Board member, NEADS Board of Directors, Pedro Martinez Foundation as a consultant/advisor, Concussion Legacy Foundation as President of the Board, The Italian Home as a board member, and Emerson Hospital as a Corporator.
Tina formerly worked for the Spence Centers for Women’s Health, a new start-up business, with Rina Spence, former President and CEO of Emerson Hospital. Tina was responsible for all aspects of that start-up, from construction through staffing and the opening of four facilities. Prior to working for Rina Spence, Tina was the Director of Perioperative Services at Emerson Hospital for 17 years.
Tina graduated with her nursing degree from Jamestown Community College, part of SUNY, her Bachelor’s from Lesley College in Boston in Management, her MBA from the executive program at Northeastern University and her law degree from Suffolk Law School. Tina volunteers her time on multiple non-profit boards. Tina lives with her husband Dr. Robert Cantu in Concord, MA.
